Tomlin Gives Little Insight if the Steelers Have Interest in Larry Johnson
November 10th, 2009 | by Matt Loede |One day after the Steelers biggest win of the season, you knew that Mike Tomlin would have to face the question in his usual Tuesday press conference. What about Larry Johnson. There was talk that Johnson wanted to come to Pittsburgh, after his release from the Chiefs, and Tuesday Tomlin basically blew off the question as best he could.
“I don’t discuss free agents,” Tomlin said Tuesday. “That opens Pandora’s box. I tend to focus on the guys that are in our locker room.”
After watching Monday night, there’s no carries for L.J. on this team. Rashard Mendenhall had 155 yards last night, and Wilie Parker didn’t even play. So at the end of the day, let Johnson go elsewhere.
